The first time psoriasis appeared on my skin, I was 18 years old. I suspected it was eczema or psoriasis – but I wasn’t sure which it was. It turned out be psoriasis, an all encompassing disease that has caused me a lot of stress.
At first, I hid it and avoided sports because I didn’t want to expose my skin. It impacted me beyond sports: I remember during a job interview, I camouflaged my psoriasis so they wouldn’t know. I have tried many treatments, and am currently using a biologic and topical treatments.
I decided to take part in this programme to show that it can affect any of us, me, you, your friends or your family. Through pictures or videos we can send an even more powerful message than with words.
