I decided to take part in Psoriasis: The Naked Truth because people in the world, in Europe and in Poland need to know how people who suffer from psoriasis live, what sort of illness it is, and that it is not infectious. Unfortunately many people who suffer from psoriasis hide away at home, are afraid to go out, afraid to take part in every day life, to go swimming, to the beach, to go dancing.
This programme aims to show that although we suffer from this condition, we are normal people and should be treated in the same way as healthy people. We go to work, have families, have plans and aspirations.
I hope that this programme will be a positive one, not only for those who are ill but also for those who look at us, are afraid of us, feel awkward in our company or are repulsed by our appearance. After viewing the exhibit I hope that when someone meets a person suffering from psoriasis, they will understand that we are just like everyone else.
