"I want people to understand that psoriasis is about more than patches on your skin – patients do suffer physically but also psychologically."

I developed psoriasis at the age of 25. At the beginning it was devastating.  I suffered psychologically and it made me insecure when I was around people.  It was awful – hiding all the time in order not to show your skin; it impacts on your work and your social life.

I tried every possible therapy available from the Italian national health service and about four, five years ago I found a treatment that gave me completely clear skin.  I’m still taking treatment but after 15 years of covering up and hiding my skin, now I always try to show off my skin.

I got involved in Psoriasis: The Naked Truth because I want people to understand that psoriasis is about more than patches on your skin – patients do suffer physically but also psychologically.
